These photos are from excavations at CWR site. This is an occupational site which was intermittently used by semi nomadic hunter/gatherer Native Americans over a temporal span of from 4000 to 400 years ago. Two are of the crew and a new 2 x 2 opened there, and 3 photos of dart points and a knife found . We have already excavated 16 squares meters of the site finding a typical Central Texas lithic assemblage.
This site also has yielded multiple specimens of deer and buffalo bone, teeth, small mammal and large bird (likely turkey) bones. There are obvious trade items found thus far such as shards of Caddo culture pottery (East Texas) and 2 flakes of obsidian, one of which has been typed to have come from an outcrop in Malad, Idaho.
